The Society for the Unexplained, Strange and Noteworthy (SUSAN) is a fictional society.
It was established in 1979 at the Royal College of Art, as part of the ‘Far Out’ program. Once located in the college basement, with a substantial budget and in cosy surroundings, it has since been downscaled to a ‘hot desk’ version of its former glory. SUSAN continues, despite debilitating financial restraints, and is now a registered charity. The questionnaire and corresponding experiments can now be found in the Susan Suitcase.
